I was face-to-face with a snarling Stalker enemy on the Deserted Highway at dusk when it hit me – Stellar Blade is a game that truly knows how to bring the heat. The combination of fast-paced action, intense combat, and vast exploration had me hooked from the very start.
The first encounter I want to highlight was against the frost troll on the pass near Bleak Falls. It went down in two blasts of Firebolt, but not before chunking half my health bar. As I delved deeper into the game, I began to appreciate the Echo Shift system, which tracks the player’s progress and allows for strategic choice in how to optimize performance or conserve resources. Another standout aspect is the sheer variety of abilities at the player’s disposal. Using my Electro-Blaster to take down a Glimmer enemy in a cave was a highlight – the white, electricity-like force it projected felt incredibly satisfying. And let’s not forget the Pulse attack, which proved devastating against both fast and slow enemies alike.
